Rob Reid is an American entrepreneur and author. He is best known as the founder of Listen.com, which launched the music streaming service Rhapsody in 2001. Rhapsody was one of the first music streaming services available and became a significant player in the music industry. In 2003, Reid sold Listen.com to RealNetworks.
Aside from his success in the tech industry, Reid is also a published author. His first novel, "Year Zero," was published in 2012 and is a science fiction comedy exploring extraterrestrial music copyright. His second book, "After On," was released in 2017 and is a techno-thriller that delves into the possibilities and consequences of advanced technology.
