Rob High is the Chief Technology Officer, Vice President, and an IBM Fellow at Watson Group. As the head of the Watson technical agenda, he is responsible for developing and promoting cognitive computing thought leadership. Over the years, High has shared his ideas on the role of Watson in cognitive computing through several white papers and video blogs.
With 37+ years of programming experience, he has specialized in distributed object-oriented component-based transaction monitors for the last 21 years, including SOMObject Server Component Broker and, most recently, the WebSphere Application Server. Previously, High held the position of Chief Architect for the IBM SOA Foundation and was responsible for the architecture of the WebSphere Application Server and its related products.
