Mitte, like his Breaking Bad character, suffers from moderate cerebral palsy. The brain is injured in cerebral palsy in infancy, generally as a result of cerebral anoxia. His motor skills and ability to regulate his muscles were harmed as a result. His arm, for example, leaps out of control. He began working with personal talent manager Addison Witt, who also has a variant of the illness when he relocated to Hollywood in 2006.
