Rick Yune obtained his MBA from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School. Before that, he worked various jobs to fund his studies, including working as a hedge fund trader for SAC Capital and as a part-time model. Yune is skilled in multiple forms of martial arts and was an Olympic-level Taekwondo athlete, having been a strong contender for the US team at age 19. He changed the spelling of his last name from Yun to Yune for Screen Actors Guild (SAG) purposes. While interning on Wall Street in 1992, he was discovered by a modeling agent and became the first Asian-American to be featured in advertisements for Versace and Ralph Lauren's Polo. Yune has also acted in television shows such as Alias, Boston Legal, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
