Rick Springfield is an Australian-American singer, songwriter, and actor. Born in Sydney, Australia, in 1949, Springfield began his musical career in the early 1970s and had his first hit single with "Speak to the Sky" in 1972.
He went on to achieve international success by releasing his album "Working Class Dog" in 1981, which featured the hit single "Jessie's Girl." In addition to his music career, Springfield acted in numerous television shows and movies, including his starring role in the popular 1980s soap opera "General Hospital." He has also written a memoir, "Late, Late at Night," which details his struggles with depression and addiction.
