Santelli started his profession in 1979 as a trader and order-filler at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange in a variety of business sectors, including gold, CDs, T-bills, foreign exchange, and domesticated animals. Rick Santelli joined CNBC Business News as a live editorial manager in June 1999, revealing live from the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade.
His emphasis is fundamentally on loan costs, Federal Reserve, and foreign exchange. Santelli is an ordinary supporter of CNBC's "Screech on the Street " (Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.- 12 p.m. ET). A veteran merchant and financial leader, Santelli has given live reports on the business sectors on paper and on local and public radio and TV.
