Rick Byrd, an American college basketball coach and the current head coach of the Belmont Bruins men's basketball team, was born on April 30, 1953. In 2006, 2007, 2008, 2011, and 2012, he guided Belmont to five NCAA Division I tournaments, and he is one of just five active NCAA coaches with 500 victories at one institution.
Byrd is also one of just 11 active coaches with over 600 career victories.
