Richard Schaden founded Beyond the Edge, a private aviation company based in Colorado. He is an aeronautical engineer and experienced trial lawyer, having won over 50 multimillion-dollar courtroom verdicts and hundreds of millions of dollars in settlements for his clients over his 40-year legal career.
Before becoming an aviation attorney, Schaden worked as a flight test engineer for Boeing Airplane Company, conducting extensive engineering flight tests on several general aviation aircraft. He also holds the highest FAA license possible - Air Transport Pilot - and completes advanced, recurrent jet pilot training for his company's aircraft every year.
