Richard L. Rogers served as the College for Creative Studies (CCS) president from 1994 to 2008. During his tenure, Rogers helped transform CCS into one of the country's top art and design schools, expanding the curriculum and campus facilities and increasing enrollment.
Before joining CCS, Rogers held leadership positions at several other higher education institutions, including serving as the vice president for academic affairs at the University of Texas at El Paso and the dean of the School of Art and Design at Alfred University New York.
