Richard D. Parsons is a senior adviser at Providence Equity Partners, a private equity investment firm specializing in media, communications, and information companies. He also serves as Chairman of the Board for Citigroup, Inc. Before his current roles, he was Chairman and CEO of Time Warner, the world's largest media and entertainment company, from 2002 to 2008.
Parsons was recognized as the top CEO in the entertainment industry by Institutional Investor magazine in 2005. He has also served as Chairman and CEO of Dime Bancorp and managing partner of the New York law firm Patterson, Belknap, Webb & Tyler.
