Richard Glaubman graduated from the University of California at Berkeley. He began his writing career right after, despite only taking one formal writing class in his senior year. Over the next three decades, he worked various jobs, including fishing in Alaska, working in restaurants, and construction. For the past 18 years, he has been teaching elementary school.
Glaubman's visits to George Dawson, a 98-year-old man learning to read and write, resulted in their partnership and the book "Life Is So Good," published by Random House.
