Richard Gelfond has been the company's CEO since April 1, 2009, and a member of the Board of Directors since 1994. He served as Co-Chairman of the Company from June 1999 to March 31, 2009, and Co-CEO from May 1996 to March 31, 2009. He was also Vice Chairman of the Company from March 1994 to June 1999.
Gelfond is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Stony Brook Foundation Inc. and is on the Board of Directors for Brookhaven Science Associates. In addition, he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Atlantic Council, Vice Chairman of the New York Historical Society, and a Member of the Motion Picture Academy of Arts & Sciences.
