Richard A. Ferber is the Director of the Center for Pediatric Sleep Disorders at Children's Hospital in Boston, MA, and an associate professor of Neurology at the Harvard Medical School. He completed his education at Harvard College and Harvard Medical School, trained in pediatrics at Children's Hospital in Boston, and conducted a research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health.
Ferber is board certified in Pediatrics and Sleep Medicine and has received several awards and honors, including the Nathaniel Kleitman Distinguished Service Award in 1994 and the Excellence in Education Award in 2002, both from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
