Richard Celeste is a distinguished American politician and educator, best known as the 12th President of Colorado College. He has had an extensive career in public service, having served as the US ambassador to India from 1997 to 2001 and as the director of the United States Peace Corps in Washington, DC.
Celeste also served two terms as governor of Ohio and was a managing partner of an economic development consultancy in Columbus, Ohio. Apart from his political career, he has taught urban economics at John Carroll University and served as a visiting fellow in public policy at Case Western University.
