Richard Branson is an English entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist. He was born on July 18, 1950, in Surrey, England. Branson's first business venture was a student magazine called Student, which he started when he was just 16 years old. In 1970, he founded Virgin Records, one of the world's most successful music companies.
Branson started numerous other companies under the Virgin brand, including Virgin Atlantic Airways, Virgin Mobile, and Virgin Galactic. He is also known for his adventurous spirit. He has attempted record-breaking feats, such as crossing the Atlantic Ocean in a hot air balloon.
