Rhiana Gunn-Wright is the Roosevelt Institute's Director of Climate Policy. Gunn-Wright was the policy director for New Consensus before joining Roosevelt and was in charge of creating and promoting the Green New Deal, among other initiatives. She formerly worked as the policy director for Abdul El-gubernatorial Sayed's campaign in Michigan in 2018.
Gunn-Wright, a 2013 Rhodes Scholar, has also worked for the Detroit Health Department as a policy analyst, as a Mariam K. Chamberlain Fellow of Women and Public Policy at the Institute for Women's Policy Research, and as a member of former First Lady Michelle Obama's policy team.
