Rhett Miller is an American singer-songwriter and musician, best known as the lead vocalist and guitarist for the alternative country band Old 97's. Born in Texas in 1970, Miller began his music career in the 1990s when he formed Old 97's with his fellow band members.
As the lead vocalist and primary songwriter for Old 97's, Miller has helped shape alternative country music's sound. The band's music has been praised for combining traditional country elements with punk rock and other genres. In addition to his work with Old 97's, Miller has also released several solo albums throughout his career.
