Rex White is a former NASCAR champion and retired Irish auto racer. White was one of the first drivers to race for the Ford racing team. He began racing in 1956 and has fourteen top-ten finishes to his credit. White won again in 1958 after a part-time run in 1957.
He had his most successful year in 1960 when he won six races and the NASCAR Grand National Championship. He has 73 victories in his career when he retired in 1964. White spent most of his NASCAR career driving General Motors brand cars, which were normally painted gold and white and featured the number 4 on the side.
