Rev. Dr. Katharine Jefferts Schori is an Episcopal bishop, theologian, and former Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church in the United States. She became the first woman elected as a presiding bishop in the Anglican Communion in 2006. She served in this role until 2015.
