Reif Larsen is an American author and filmmaker best known for his debut novel "The Selected Works of T. S. Spivet," which was a bestseller and received critical acclaim. The book was later adapted into a film by Jean-Pierre Jeunet in 2013. Larsen attended Brown University, where he earned a degree in Comparative Literature.
He also holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from Columbia University. Larsen's writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Guardian, The Believer, and other publications. In addition to writing, Larsen has worked in film, directing, and producing short films and music videos. He lives in Scotland and teaches creative writing at the University of St. Andrews.
