Reid Scott is an American actor. He grew up in upstate New York, attending Syracuse University, where he majored in drama. After graduating, Scott moved to New York City to pursue his acting career, landing his first role in an off-Broadway play.
Scott has appeared in numerous films and TV shows, but he is best known for his role as Dan Egan in the HBO political comedy series "Veep." He has also appeared in "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty," "Home Again," and "Late Night." In addition to his acting career, Scott is also a writer and director, having written and directed the short film "I'm Sorry to Tell You" in 2010.
