Reginald Jones is an entrepreneur, motivational speaker, and public figure who started his career in the entertainment industry. Born and raised in the South Bronx, he was first exposed to the music business during the rise of rap music in the neighborhood. Jones began his career as an artist liaison at popular New York nightclubs Silver Shadow and Bently's. He eventually worked his way up to the video department, where he worked with famous performers such as Patti Labelle and New Edition. In 1988, Jones took on his first foray into radio as the sidekick to Terry Terrell on WNYU's Pure Funk show. Then, with his passion for the industry and dedication to his craft, he founded his own entertainment company, The Reggitainment Group, in December 1990. The company's focus was on managing, promoting, and publishing music. Jones' career took a new turn in 1994 when he met the motivational speaker and author Les Brown at a speech in New York City. Encouraged by Brown, Jones began a new career in public speaking and became known as the Golden Voice. He joined the African-American leadership group Project 21 as their lead spokesman and advisory board member following a speech at their 1995 press conference that garnered over 50 media appearance requests, including Newstalk television.
