Mason L. Red Cashion is a former football official in the United States. He began officiating in 1952 as a student at Texas A&M University and went on to work for a number of high schools and collegiate football leagues, including the Southwest Conference.
He worked as a referee in the National Football League from 1972 to 1997, including Super Bowl XX and Super Bowl XXX. Cashion started his career as a line judge in 1972 and was elevated to referee in 1976 after long-time referee Norm Schachter retired. For most of his career, he wore uniform number 43.
