Rebecca Moore is an American computer scientist and the founder of Google Earth Outreach. This program provides nonprofits and public benefit organizations with Google Earth and Maps tools to visualize their work and create public awareness. She earned her Bachelor's in Computer Science from Brown University and a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from Stanford University. Before joining Google, Moore was a professor at the University of California, Berkeley, where she focused on computer graphics, computer vision, and machine learning. In 2017, she was honored with the United Nations' "Champions of the Earth" award for using technology to address environmental issues. Moore also advocates for diversity and inclusion in the technology industry and is a member of the National Center for Women and Information Technology Board of Directors.
