Ray Jayawardhana is the dean of science at York University and a professor of physics and astronomy. He is a Yale and Harvard graduate who studies the origins and diversity of planets using many of the world's greatest telescopes. He has co-authored more than 110 scientific articles, and his results have generated headlines throughout the world.
He's also a published author, with essays in The Economist, The New York Times, The Boston Globe, Scientific American, and other publications. Among the awards he has received for his study and writing are the Guggenheim Fellowship, the Rutherford Medal, the Steacie Prize, and the McLean Award.
