Raymond Joseph Dolan, commonly known as Ray Dolan, is a British neuroscientist who studies the neural basis of emotion and decision-making. Dolan obtained his Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of London in 1986 and completed his postdoctoral research at the National Institute of Mental Health in Bethesda, Maryland.
Dolan's research focuses on how the brain processes emotions, memories, and rewards and how these processes impact decision-making. He has conducted groundbreaking studies using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to map brain activity. He has contributed to our understanding of disorders such as anxiety, depression, and addiction.
