Raul Labrador is an American politician, lawyer, and member of the Republican Party. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Brigham Young University and a law degree from the University of Washington School of Law. Labrador was first elected to the Idaho House of Representatives in 2006 and served as the Majority Leader from 2011 to 2012.
In 2010, he ran for and won a seat in the United States House of Representatives, representing Idaho's 1st congressional district. He was reelected three times, serving from 2011 to 2019. During his time in Congress, he served on the Judiciary and Natural Resources committees and was a founding member of the House Freedom Caucus.
