Ram Devineni is an Indian-American filmmaker, producer, and publisher. He co-founded Rattapallax, a multimedia company that produces documentary films, video poetry, and digital literature. He is best known for his award-winning documentary film, "The Russian Woodpecker," which premiered at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival and won the Grand Jury Prize.
In addition to his work in film, Devineni is also the creator of the augmented reality comic book series, "Priya's Shakti," which focuses on issues of gender-based violence in India. The series features a female superhero, Priya, who fights against rape culture and gender inequality.
