Rae Armantrout is an American poet and professor of writing at the University of California, San Diego. Armantrout received her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and her master’s from San Francisco State University. Armantrout’s poetry is known for its attention to language and its use of short, often fragmented lines.
