Rachel Pike is a climate scientist and science communicator. She earned her Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Cambridge in 2009, focusing on atmospheric chemistry and climate science. Pike is currently the Executive Director of the Berkeley Institute for Data Science (BIDS), which brings together researchers from across the UC Berkeley campus to advance data science methodologies and applications.
Before joining BIDS, Pike was a Science and Technology Policy Fellow at the American Association for the Advancement of Science, where she worked on implementing the President's Climate Action Plan.
