Rachel Caine is the pen name of Roxanne Conrad, a bestselling American author of young adult, urban fantasy, and paranormal romance novels. She earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Texas Tech University. She worked as an accountant for several years before quitting her job to become a full-time writer.
Caine has authored over 50 books, including the Morganville Vampires series, the Weather Warden series, and the Great Library series. Her books have been translated into several languages and published in over 15 countries. She has won numerous awards for her work, including the Romantic Times Career Achievement Award and the RT Book Reviews Reviewers' Choice Award.
