Queens of the Stone Age is an American rock band formed in 1996 in Palm Desert, California. The band is led by founder Josh Homme, the band's primary songwriter, and musician.
The band has released seven studio albums, with their debut album "Queens of the Stone Age" released in 1998, followed by "Rated R" in 2000, "Songs for the Deaf" in 2002, "Lullabies to Paralyze" in 2005, "Era Vulgaris" in 2007, "...Like Clockwork" in 2013, and "Villains" in 2017.
