Premal Shah is a social entrepreneur and the founder of Kiva, a non-profit microfinance organization that connects lenders with borrowers in developing countries. He holds a degree in Economics from Stanford University and has worked at companies such as PayPal and eBay. In 2005, he founded Kiva to empower individuals to alleviate poverty through microfinance.
