Ples Felix was an American professional baseball player. He played as a pitcher in Major League Baseball for the Cleveland Indians from 1938 to 1940. Felix was known for his sidearm delivery, which he developed after a serious arm injury during his minor leagues. Felix debuted in the Major Leagues on September 6, 1938, and spent the next three seasons playing for the Cleveland Indians. He was primarily used as a relief pitcher and finished his career with 9 wins and 6 losses, 10 saves, and a 4.23 ERA. He also had a reputation as a solid defensive player and was often called upon to make crucial defensive plays. After his baseball career, Felix worked as a salesman and later as a deputy sheriff in his hometown of Leesville, Louisiana. He passed away on August 26, 1991, at 76. Despite his relatively short career in Major League Baseball, Ples Felix is remembered as a talented player who significantly contributed to the sport.
