Pierre Ferrari is an American businessman and CEO of Heifer International, a global nonprofit organization that works to end hunger and poverty through sustainable agricultural development. Ferrari was born in Italy in 1950 and grew up in Argentina before moving to the United States to attend Stanford University.
He has worked in various leadership positions in the private and nonprofit sectors, including as president and CEO of the humanitarian organization CARE USA. Since joining Heifer International in 2010, Ferrari has led the organization's efforts to empower smallholder farmers and rural communities in more than 20 countries, focusing on promoting gender equity and sustainable agriculture practices.
