Pierpaolo Piccioli is an Italian fashion designer who has overseen Valentino's creative direction since 2016 alongside his long-time colleague Maria Grazia Chiuri. Piccioli studied fashion design at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Rome. After completing his studies, he began his career at Fendi in 1989, working on accessories design.
He later moved to Valentino in 1999, where he started working on the brand's accessories and later moved on to women's ready-to-wear. In 2008, he was appointed co-creative director of Valentino alongside Chiuri, and the duo received critical acclaim for their fresh and contemporary take on the brand.
