Philip Kennicott is an American journalist, critic, and author. He is currently the chief Art and Architecture critic for The Washington Post, where he has worked since 1999. Kennicott is known for his thoughtful and intelligent writing on art, architecture, and cultural issues and has won numerous awards for his work, including a Pulitzer Prize in 2013 for Criticism.
In addition to his work as a critic, Kennicott is the author of two books: "The Bathhouse at Midnight: An Historical Survey of Magic and Divination in Russia" and "Counterpoint: Bach and Beethoven." He has also contributed to several anthologies and publications, including The New York Review of Books, The New Yorker, and The Atlantic.
