Peter Schweizer is an American author, researcher, and political consultant who is the President of the Government Accountability Institute (GAI). This non-profit organization investigates and exposes crony capitalism, cronyism, and other forms of government corruption. He is also a best-selling author and a regular contributor to major news outlets.
Schweizer earned his Bachelor's degree from George Washington University and his Master's degree from Oxford University. He began his career as a speechwriter for the former Governor of New York, George Pataki, and later worked as a consultant for several political campaigns. In 2004, Schweizer founded the GAI to investigate and expose political corruption and abuse of power.
