Peter Schwartz is an American futurist, author, and co-founder of the Global Business Network (GBN), a corporate strategy business that specializes in scenario planning and future thinking. Since October 2011, he has served as Salesforce.com's Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning. Schwartz has published a number of books on a range of futuristic subjects.
Many regard his debut book, The Art of the Long View (Doubleday, 1991), to be the fundamental work on scenario planning; it was named the finest all-time book on the future by the Association of Professional Futurists, and it is utilized as a textbook by many business schools.
