Dr. Peter Salgo is a renowned medical correspondent, physician, professor, and author who dedicated his life to improving the healthcare system. Blakeslee Award for Journalism from the American Heart Association. In addition to his broadcast work, Dr. Salgo practices Intensive Care Medicine at Presbyterian Hospital in New York City, where he is the Associate Director of Surgical Intensive Care. He helped organize the emergency response of his hospital during the 9/11 crisis and has remained active in promoting preparedness against bioterrorism since that time.
