Before his work in animation, Ramsey was a storyboard artist and illustrator for various film and television projects, including "Independence Day," "Men in Black," and "The Avengers." He is also a co-founder of the animation and visual effects studio 29th Street Entertainment. Ramsey's contributions to the animation industry have been widely recognized, including being named to the Time 100 list of the most influential people in the world in 2019. He is a graduate of the UCLA Animation Workshop.
