Peter Paige is an American actor, director, and writer best known for his role as Emmett Honeycutt in the Showtime drama series "Queer as Folk." Paige graduated from Boston University with a degree in acting. He began his acting career in the late 1990s, appearing in several television shows and movies before landing the role of Emmett in "Queer as Folk." In addition to his work as an actor, Paige has also worked as a director and writer. He co-created, and executive produced the ABC Family drama series "The Fosters", which premiered in 2013 and ran for five seasons. He has also directed several episodes of the show and episodes of other series, including "Switched at Birth" and "Good Trouble." Paige is also an advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and has been involved in various activist causes throughout his career. He co-founded the Los Angeles-based LGBTQ+ theater company Celebration Theatre and has served as a board member of the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) and the Trevor Project.
