Peter Hotez is the founding dean of the National School of Tropical Medicine and a professor at Baylor College of Medicine's Departments of Pediatrics and Molecular Virology and Microbiology.
He is also the head of the Sabin Vaccine Institute, the director of the Texas Children's Hospital Center for Vaccine Development, and a Rice University Baker Institute Fellow in Disease and Poverty. Hotez was the founding editor-in-chief of PLOS Neglected Tropical Diseases and previously served as president of the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.
