Peter Girguis is an accomplished scientist and educator, currently serving as a John L. Loeb Associate Professor of Natural Sciences at Harvard University. Additionally, he holds the position of Adjunct Research Engineer at the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute. With a focus on the ecological physiology of microbes in extreme environments, Girguis aims to unravel the intricate processes involved in deep ocean carbon and nitrogen cycling. Girguis' research centers around understanding the adaptations and traits of microbes thriving in anaerobic environments.
