Peter Galison is the Joseph Pellegrino University Professor at Harvard University. He has a doctorate from Harvard in both the history of science and theoretical high-energy physics. Filmmaker Galison has co-directed acclaimed documentaries with Robb Moss, including "Containment" (2015) and "Secrecy" (2008). He was awarded the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation Fellowship for his achievements. The main subjects of Galison's research are black holes and the changing bond between technology and the ego. In addition to being heavily involved in digital media teaching at Harvard, he co-founded the Black Hole Initiative.
