Peter Coyote is a highly acclaimed television and movie actor known for his versatile performances and distinctive voice. Born as Rachmil Pinchus Ben Mosha Cohon in New York City, Coyote embarked on a diverse career encompassing acting, writing, and activism. His unique stage name was inspired by an encounter with a coyote while backpacking in the American Southwest.
Coyote's acting career took off in the late 1960s when he became involved with the San Francisco Mime Troupe. He quickly gained recognition for his powerful stage presence and captivating performances. His breakthrough came with his role in the iconic film "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial" in 1982, where he played the sympathetic government agent, Keys.
