Peter Bailis is an esteemed assistant professor of Computer Science at Stanford University, where he leads research in the Future Data Systems group. With a focus on next-generation data-intensive systems, Peter's work encompasses many areas, including large-scale data management, distributed protocol design, and architectures for high-volume complex decision support.
He has won various awards for his services to the industry over his career. He has received the CRA Outstanding Undergraduate Researcher Award, a Berkeley Fellowship for Graduate Study, and an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship. In addition to having an A.B. in computer science from Harvard College, Peter also holds a Ph.D. in computer science from UC Berkeley.
