Pete Wentz is known as the bassist and primary lyricist for the Chicago-based band Fall Out Boy. His musical journey began in the vibrant Chicago hardcore punk scene, where he actively participated in various bands before forming Fall Out Boy.

Wentz's close connection with band member Joseph Trohman dates back to their childhood, and Fall Out Boy marks the fourth collaboration between Wentz and Andrew Hurley.
