Peggy Wehmeyer is an American journalist who worked for seven years as an ABC news religion reporter before becoming the anchor and editor of the World Vision Report. Wehmeyer grew up in Barbados and Texas after being born in Oklahoma City. She is a pious Christian who is of German ancestry.
She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas in Austin. Wehmeyer worked in the Public Relations Department at Dallas Theological Seminary as a young lady. Mark Woods, her future husband, met her while she was working at DTS.
