Pedro De Abreu heads the Artificial Intelligence, Brain, and Cognitive Sciences theme at Harvard Kennedy School of Government's Future Society and organizes senior thesis workshops with Harvard College seniors in Mind, Brain, and Behavior. Pedro is also a Harvard Graduate School of Education Teaching Fellow and the founder of the non-profit Check Mate Foundation and the consulting firm 14X IG.
Pedro arrived in America at the age of 15 without understanding how to communicate in English due to challenges in Brazil. Pedro was named a Forbes 30 Under 30 candidate in 2016 and was named South Carolina's New Century Scholar by USA Today and the Coca-Cola Foundation. Pedro is a Harvard Leadership in Education Award recipient.
